Its usually the case that painters will refer either consciously or subconsciously to other artists in their works. Recalling images of other works helps me when I’m starting to paint.
I choose a painting or a simple detail I like, sometimes from the past. Then I go on to work from my everyday expériences for example my friends, my studio and objects around me.

It's simply an interpretation, a hint of the original painting.
